Sophie Stacey
Sithappy was co-founded by Sophie Stacey (formerly Painter), a mum of three children who were all born and raised in Ibiza.
Together with the support of her husband, Tim, Sophie launched Paintpots Childcare Ibiza over nine years ago. What started as a small childcare business has grown into one of Ibiza’s trusted children’s services, providing babysitting, creative workshops, children’s entertainment and event childcare across Ibiza and Formentera.
Over the years, Paintpots has supported hundreds of families, holidaymakers, weddings, villa events and local businesses, earning a reputation for creating safe, engaging and memorable experiences for children.
In addition to running Paintpots, Sophie has also worked within a school on the island, supporting children in an educational setting. This experience gave her valuable insight into child development, learning, behaviour and individual needs, complementing both her professional childcare experience and her role as a parent.
Sophie is also the co-founder of Tiny Ravers Ibiza, the island’s family-friendly music and entertainment event, and founder of Little Treats Ibiza, a bespoke dessert cart business bringing magical experiences to children’s parties, weddings and celebrations.
As both a childcare professional and a parent, Sophie understands how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust to care for your children.
After experiencing a number of negative babysitting experiences herself, where sitters had little experience, no verified checks and limited references, she realised there was a need for a more professional and transparent childcare platform in Ibiza and Formentera.
That vision became Sithappy.
Sithappy was created to give parents complete peace of mind by ensuring every sitter on the platform has been carefully vetted before being approved. Identity verification, criminal record checks, references and profile reviews form the foundation of the platform, with many sitters also holding First Aid certifications, childcare qualifications and multilingual skills.
Today, Sophie is proud to merge the babysitting side of Paintpots Childcare Ibiza into Sithappy, creating a trusted platform where every babysitter is someone she would personally feel confident leaving her own children with.
While Sithappy focuses on connecting families with trusted childcare, Paintpots will continue to provide the magical children’s workshops, creative activities and event experiences that have become loved by families across the island.
Beyond childcare, Sophie is deeply passionate about supporting children within the local community. For the past six years, she has helped raise awareness, donations and gifts for the children living at Ibiza’s Children’s Home, ensuring they receive presents and support throughout the year, particularly during Christmas and Three Kings celebrations.
She has also supported numerous other charitable initiatives across the island and remains committed to using her businesses and community connections to give back wherever possible.
At the heart of everything Sophie does is a simple belief:

And that’s exactly what Sithappy is built on.
